Tauranga, the Halloween Night Run is back! Come and join us on Friday 31st October 2025, trains running 5:30 pm – 9 pm (ticket window closes 8:50pm). $3 per ride, concession tickets available at 12 rides for $25. Bring your best costumes and join in the fun 🎃

Checkout the 2016 MEANZ Convention at the Tauranga Model Marine & Engineering Society

The Model Engineering Association of New Zealand (MEANZ) held there bi-annual convention at the Tauranga Model Marine & Engineering Club track. It ran from the 7th to the 11th of January 2016.

Well a majority of you would know us from down at Memorial Park where our Miniature Railway for the public runs every Sunday. But we also work with Marine engineering also.

The Railway is very popular with the public, everyone enjoys riding the trains, so this is a great facility for the public of Tauranga and visitors. Safety is of paramount importance with very regular maintenance carried out on the track, locomotives and ride cars.

Come down for a ride! Chooo chooo

Tauranga Model Marine & Engineering Club owns and operates the Miniature Railway for the public every Sunday, weather permitting.

  • Memorial Park, 53 Eleventh Avenue, Tauranga, behind QE2 Hall. Public car parking is available onsite
  • Sunday -10am till 3pm (Weather permitting)
    Lunch Break -12:30pm till 1:00pm
    The Ticket Office closes 10 minutes before the last train departs.
  • $3 per ride.
    Children under 2 years of age FREE.
    Concession cards - 12 rides for $25.

Note – as from the 1st August 2025 an increase in the price of tickets will see a single ride costing $3 and a twelve-ride concession card $25.
